Al Jazeera has appointed Aidem Ventures as its media representative in India for its English, Arabic, Documentary and Mobaher channels, after being granted a license to broadcast in the South Asian nation seven months ago.
Jaber Al Ansari of q.media, speaking on behalf of Al Jazeera, said: “We are excited to establish our business presence in India with the appointment of Aidem Ventures as our representative in India. This partnership reflects q.media’s ambition to pursue Al Jazeera's successful global expansion and to meet Indian based companies’ needs for a prestigious media platform like Al Jazeera English Channel to market their brands to a global audience.”
The Qatar-based satellite TV network has set up a bureau and distribution office in New Delhi, as well as having 64 bureaus around the globe.
