The ng Connect Program, an innovation ecosystem founded by Alcatel-Lucent to create new, multimedia connected user experiences based on next-generation technologies including LTE, IP video and cloud computing, has announced the addition of twelve new members to the program.

Companies like Blue Pixel, Go TV Networks and Intel join existing members like Atlantic Records, HP, Samsung and Toyota Motor Sales USA, as well as innovative start-ups.

"Through collaboration with other ng Connect member companies, we enable new and innovative communication solutions that can accelerate the adoption of next-generation services," said Sandra Rivera, director of market developments for the embedded and communications group at Intel, in a statement.

The new member companies will work with other ng Connect members (a total of 65 members) to discuss and develop service concepts that showcase how will change our lives – everything from the daily commute, to shopping, healthcare and more.

The full list of new members is: Aerva, Agence France Presse; Blue Pixel; Gamify; GoTV Networks; Harman; IMST; ineedmd; Intel; PMD Exports, Premier Digital Publishing and Savtira.

Members of the ng Connect Program come together to discuss, develop and deliver new service concepts that show how next generation technologies can advance the connected experience across multiple industries. To date, ng Connect has increased awareness in the telecommunications industry and among consumers of the possibilities of LTE with the development of 20 video-intensive service concepts, including the Virtual Personal Stylist, Virtual Venue, the Gametime Media Table and the LTE Connected Car.

"Together with our new members we can show how entire industries will be transformed through technology achievements that will help people connect not only with each other, but to the content and applications they want, whenever and wherever they need them," said Jason Collins, vice president of emerging technology and innovation at ALU.
