Germany's largest cable operator Kabel Deutschland will provide high-speed internet to further rural regions in Bavaria.

In all, 450,000 additional households will be able to sign up for broadband internet in the forthcoming one and a half years, the company announced in Munich.

3.4 million households in Bavaria have already been upgraded for high-speed internet and telephony via cable. Through the new upgrade round, which enables an internet data rate of up to 100 Mbps, almost all cable customers of Kabel Deutschland in Bavaria will be able to subscribe to internet and telephony via cable.
In the past years, the company invested more than €1 billion into network upgrading and customer acquisition.
