In a further boost to Chinese State Micro Technology Corporation and its current expansion plans, leading Czech and Slovak broadcaster Skylink has approved SMiT’s (CAM) for its digital satellite network services.

Satellite is becoming a key platform for SMiT and the Skylink deal comes hot on the heels of the Chinese firm joining Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, Philips, SmarDTV and Neotion as the seventh partner of the CI Plus LLP .

The new SMiT product has been launched on the market via local partners in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia. “We tested and certified SMiT’s Irdeto Advanced Security Dual Mode CAM with its proven technology to assist in protecting our premium contents against piracy,” said Mr. Dušan Konečný, CTO of Skylink. “SMiT has a demonstrated track record in the industry and the region in providing superior products with top level content security, which is important for us to ensure our business is successful.”
