Viasat is likely to add Viasat Nature/History HD to the channels it offers commercially in Russia either at the end of this year or beginning of 2012.

The news was given by Alexei Kroll, the general director of Viasat Holding, and quoted by TV Digest and AKTR.

Viasat already distributes TV1000, TV1000 Russian Cinema, TV1000 Action, Viasat Sport, Viasat Explorer, Viasat History, Viasat Nature and Da Vinci in Russia and the CIS.

Viasat Nature/History HD is currently encoded and distributed by Astra 4A at 4.8 degrees East.
