ESPN STAR Sports will broadcast next year’s ICC U19 Cricket World Cup, which will be held in Queensland for the first time.

Queensland Premier, Anna Bligh, said: "This event will deliver an economic shot in the arm to the host communities, and showcase Queensland to the world - attracting 400 players and officials from 16 countries and generating an expected 7,000 bed nights for the local tourism industry.

"In addition, it will be televised into the homes of cricket fans in more than 100 countries including in Asia, the UK and South Africa via broadcaster ESPN STAR Sports."
