Rimage, a provider of workflow-integrated digital publishing solutions, and Silicon Philosophies, is to demonstrate live archiving of 3D video footage in HD on Blu-ray.

The demonstration will take place at the upcoming IBC in Amsterdam from 8 to 13 September 2011, and Rimage, European distributor of the Cinema Craft HD encoder, will show a system based on the all-in-one solution 5400N Professional which enables the fully automated on-demand production of CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs.

Rimage will show HD-3D with the footage encoded and stored directly on a Blu-ray disc with a personalised full-colour image. They can take the disc home with them at no charge.

"The Rimage Professional 5400N offers an entry point into on-demand disc publishing, allowing single users or workgroups to create discs as easily as they print to the office printer", said Jürgen Sattelmayer, Vertical Business Manager EMEA at Rimage Europe. "The 5400N enables more digital publishers to take advantage of the convenience of an intelligent network appliance with professional print quality and hands-free operation."
