The Russian cable operator ER Telecom has begun to provide services in the city of Irkutsk.

Offered under the brand name Dom.ru, they include 60 TV channels and broadband internet access of up to 40 Mbps.

Subscribers can take advantage of a “2 for 1” offer with a single contract, account and service.

ER Telecom’s services are being provided via a wholly managed telco network with a capacity of 1 Gbps per building, construction of which began this April.

ER Telecom expects to reach 60,000 apartments in Irkutsk – now the easternmost city in Russia it operates in – by the end of the year.
