Asian sports broadcaster ESPN Star Sports (ESS) has launched two new channels on Hong Kong IPTV platform Now TV.

ESPN HD will include coverage of Formula One, MotoGP, Major League Baseball, Wimbledon, the Australian Open, the FA Cup and golf majors, while ESPNews, the first 24/7 sports news channel for Asian viewers, is also available. Now TV serves Hong Kong with more than 190 channels of local, Asian and international programming.

ESS and Now TV owner PCCW are also planning to launch Mobile ESPN, a live streaming service for PCCW mobile customers.

“Now TV is a pioneer in providing HD content for viewers in Hong Kong, and ESPN HD gives our viewers even more choices in HD sports coverage,” said PCCW managing director of TV and new media, Janice Lee.

“Together with our long-standing partner ESS, we are committed to offering viewers the finest line-up of sports content in unparalleled image and sound quality.”
