Children's preschool programme the WotWots has returned to New Zealand's TV2 this month as the second season begins on 22 August.

The colourful learning-based series from Pukeko Pictures follows aliens DottyWot and SpottyWot as they discover farm animals, sea creatures and other life on Earth.

"Following international success in significant markets like Canada, UK and US with season one, we are thrilled to see the WotWots return to New Zealand. In this new season, DottyWot and SpottyWot discover animal life on a farm and explore the sea shore. the WotWots delight in the joy of discovery and I hope Kiwi kids enjoy exploring with DottyWot and SpottyWot in their latest adventure" said Co-Founder of Weta Workshop, Sir Richard Taylor.

The WotWots is broadcast in 90 countries including the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Korea, the Middle East and Poland. American Greetings Properties recently signed on for the worldwide licensing and merchandising rights to the programme.

Pukeko Pictures is a business partnership between Academy Award winner Richard Taylor, the co-founder and creative lead of Weta Workshop (Lord of the Rings, King Kong), and author and children's television creator, Martin Baynton.
