German portal operator NetRange MMH will develop and operate an internet-based interactive portal solution for HD Plus.

The Hamburg-based multimedia company has concluded an exclusive agreement with the subsidiary of satellite operator SES Astra. All new receivers having the corresponding technical capability will be equipped with the HD InterActive feature from NetRange MMH. The first internet-capable receivers certified for HD+ will be introduced to the market by several manufacturers in 2011.

NetRange MMH is a white label portal operator for web-based interactive television. The company develops, operates and markets full-service portal solutions for telecommunications, satellite and cable TV network operators as well as for manufacturers of consumer electronics devices.

HD Plus operates the HDTV platform HD+ on Astra (19.2° East) which provides DTH households in Germany with the high-definition versions of the country's largest commercial free-to-air broadcasters. The platform is encrypted with reception costing €50 per year.
