Vodafone Germany has added MTV, Nick Jr., Nickelodeon HD and Comedy Central HD to the IPTV platform Vodafone TV on its ADSL broadband network. The carriage deal with operating company MTV Networks was extended to include the new channels.

The additions complement Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and VIVA - also operated by MTV Networks - which are already on the platform. Both companies want to expand their collaboration during the course of the year.

Vodafone TV launched in February 2011 and now reaches around 25,000 customers. The technical foundation is a hybrid box capable of receiving IPTV, cable TV and satellite TV which automatically selects the best reception method for the content desired by the customer.
