American broadcaster BYU TV International has announced plans to extend to all of the Latin American continent especially Brazil, the region's biggest TV market.

This North American TV network is linked to the Brigham Young University and its content is based on cultural and educational values. The broadcaster has reached an agreement with the Brazilian Association of University Television (ABTU) in order to share contents and the deal includes coproduction programs.

However, in this case ABTU will have to maintain the BYU TV International brand on those programmes on air so the viewer knows and recognises the type of content shown.

BYU TV International is also searching to sign more contracts in the Latin American region so by the end of this year it is focused on reaching more than half a million homes only in the Brazilian territory.
