Latin America is a good region for the pay TV market. In a report recently launched by consultancy LAMAC, the Pay TV Advertising Latin American Commitee pinpoints that the growth in the pay TV field surpassed 60% in the four first countries regarding the first half of this year.
In particular both Argentina and Colombia are mature markets with penetration of 78%. Also Peru and Chile have reached nearly 60% of penetration.
But it is Mexico and Brazil those leading this market surpassing 10 million customers in each of their markets,while Argentina occupies the third place with 8 million subscribers.
Finally the report says in the last year Brazil's pay TV grew 31%, while Mexico 15%. In both these markets nearly 100.000 homes get subscribed to the pay TV services at present.
