HD Plus, the subsidiary of satellite company SES Astra operating German DTH platform HD+, has selected the R6 solution from Austrian technology provider Infonova to manage its customers and products.
The R6 platform will provide a highly automated order management system to handle service activation and enable collection of the HD+ reception fee via different payment channels.
R6 is also ready for future market requirements as the platform, according to Infonova, enables fast implementation of new business models with partners which include bundling and monetisation of products and services.
HD+ contains the HD versions of Germany’s largest commercial TV channels. The platform is encrypted using Nagravision, with viewers having to pay a yearly €50 fee to receive the commercial free-to-air broadcasters in high resolution on Astra (19.2° East).
