Leading business and financial news channel CNBC has entered the world of connected TV with a new real-time app on leading connected devices.
The launch of CNBC’s TV app is part of the business network’s multi-screen strategy designed to enable viewers to access the network’s content either on-air, online and via a variety of mobile devices.
The free to use app will give connected viewers throughout the EMEA region access to the latest video content, real-time market data and a top 30 favourite stocks list from CNBC’s TV and online video platforms. A My Portfolio feature enables users to personalise a watch list of up to 30 favourite stocks.
The app will be available via different internet connected devices, including Panasonic Viera Connect, Philips Net TV, Samsung Smart TV, Virgin Media TiVo platforms plus a variety of set-top boxes, Blu-ray players and home theatre systems.
Commented Justine Powell, CNBC’s Vice President of Distribution, EMEA said, “CNBC’s Real-Time TV App is the latest tool in an unparalleled suite of digital products that makes the real-time data, news and analysis that investors care about, available to them across multiple platforms.”
