Hulu friends with Facebook?

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is expected to unveil an initiative to get users behind sharing TV and movie content at the forthcoming F8 developer conference, according to the New York Post.

Sources suggest the conference will focus on a new music service but will also see Facebook unveil a deeper partnership with online video service, Hulu.

Such a tie-up could lead to users being able to see what their friends are watching on Hulu and share video content between their personal networks. Other video providers are likely to be announced, as Facebook typically doesn’t form exclusive partnerships.

One source familiar with the conversations said Netflix is also very close to Facebook. Netflix CEO Reed Hastings is on the Facebook board, but as Netflix is a subscription site, integration could be more of a challenge. Facebook already has a partnership with Warner Brothers, which streams movies through the social network.
