Latin America is welcoming Telemundo Internacional in the right way according to Marcos Santana, the company's CEO, as its content becomes available in fifteen LATAM and Caribbean countries.
Back in August 2009 Telemundo Cable was launched 24 hours a day for the pay-TV market with the best of Telemundo: telenovelas, entertainment shows, contests, interviews and news programmes. The channel is being implemented successfully in the region and following an initial launch of English content with Spanish sub-titles, the programmes are now being produced in Spanish in order to capitalise on market interest.
Telemundo Internacional has also forged two agreements with Televisa Networks. The first will last ten years consisting of advertising sales and distribution for the channel. At the same time, Telemundo Internacional has made another agreement with Televisa Networks for the whole of the Latin American continent for a three year period, including the distribution for cable TV operators.
