Shine International has signed a deal with Chinese broadcaster CCTV1 that will see its Clash of the Choirs programme broadcast in China.

The singing competition programme follows celebrities who return to their home town to recruit and coach an amateur choir that can then compete with rivals.

The series will debut in November and follows a previous Shine deal in the territory for hairdressing talent show Shear Genius, which it sold to Shanghai Media Group in July.

Clash of the Choirs has been sold into 14 countries, most recently Poland where it is airing on TVP2. It was devised by Friday TV, part of Shine-owned Metronome.
