Viacom's Nickelodeon Latin America has signed a commercial agreement with Grupo Tycoon to manage the product's licences for the consumption of its teen telenovela 'Grachi'. This telenovela has had a great success on Nickelodeon in the whole Latin American region so now all of the possible merchandising will be launched in the market soon.
The consumer product line inspired by the telenovela will be available by the end of this year, and will include clothing, home products, DVDs and a theatre play.
This commercial agreement includes the commercialisation of the telenovela's products in Mexico, the Caribbean (except for Puerto Rico), Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Chile and the whole of Central America.
"We are very proud to work with Nick for the first time simultaneously in the consumer product area, home video and live shows, so integrating all of our group divisions" said Elias Fasja, Tycoon Group's president.
"'Grachi' is the perfect example of what motivates young girls nowadays and Nick really captures it. Our previous work with other Nick series has given a great success to our group and now we are very enthusiastic to be able to commercialise this programme."
