MIPCOM 2011: Euro broadcasters snap up A+E Networks Lifetime movies

Global media content company A+E Networks has sealed several licencing agreements for its growing Lifetime movie catalogue.
The content proposition includes five new original features that will be introduced at MIPCOM, including Hunt for the I-5 Killer, Iris Johansen’s The Killing Game, We Have Your Husband, The Pastor’s Wife and The Bling Ring.
Led by three brands A&E Network, HISTORY, and Lifetime, A+E,a joint venture of Disney-ABC Television Group, Hearst Corporation and NBC Unersal A+E Networks, also includes Lifetime Movie Network, BIO, History International, Lifetime Real Women, Military History, History en Espańol, Crime & Investigation Network and A&E IndieFilms.

Commenting on the deals, Sean Cohan, Senior Vice President, International for A+E Networks said: “We are very pleased to be the definitive source for original Lifetime movies…As the highest rated women’s network in the US, Lifetime is renowned for the quality of its programming.
