Louise Duffy ©RapidTVNews | 04-10-2011 The broadcasting rights to Vietnam's international football tournament, the Becamex IDC Cup, have been sold to foreign partners, according to VietnamNet.
The annual tournament, which was launched in 1999 and has been recognised by the Asian Football Confederation, has attracted teams from Binh Duong, Hai Phong, Uganda's SC Villa, Slovakia's MSK Zilina, Da Nang, Sai Gon Xuan Thanh, Brazil's Matsubara and India's Kingfisher East Bengal.
Rights to broadcast the tournament, which will be held at Binh Duong's Go Dau Stadium in Vietnam from 6 to 15 October, have been bought by distributors in Uganda and India.
It is the first time the broadcasting rights to a football tournament in Vietnam have been sold abroad, according to the organisers.
Last year, Dong Tam Long An beat Brazil's Matsubara 1-0 in the final.
