MIPCOM 2011: Discovery Access adds 3D to content line up
Pascale Paoli-Lebailly ©RapidTVNews | 03-10-2011 Discovery Access, the footage licencing division of Discovery Communications, has added stereoscopic 3D sequences to its line-up of content offerings.
Discovery Access will work with CGI leader Pixeldust Studios to provide stereoscopic 3D animations that burst off the screen. Discovery Communications’ library of footage sees use by television and motion picture producers around the world. This new offering bolsters the company’s commitment to lead in the stereoscopic 3D arena.
“This Stereo 3D CGI is stunning. We have cells exploding, black holes consuming the earth, alien invasions...the crisp nature of CGI combined with the Stereo 3D effect is visually arresting”, comments Jocelyn Shearer, VP Discovery Access.
Discovery Access has been launched in March to provide direct online entry into the group’s archive.
At DiscoveryAccess.com users can search, preview, license and download footage including many of the Discovery scenes. New content is added to the online library on a daily basis.
