Early success for Cartoonito
09.26 Europe/London, October 4, 2011 By Julian Clover Freshly launched pre-school channel Cartoonito has made an impressive debut in the Italian market.
On the first day of monitoring by Auditel Nielsen Media Research the Turner-Mediaset JV pulled ahead of all other free and pay channels in the target market. Mediaset’s Boing is already the most successful channel, in terms of ratings, for four to 14 year olds.
During Sunday October 2, the Cartoonito audience exceeded 32,000.

Initially launched in the UK, Cartoonito is rolling out across Europe with a mix of branded blocks and dedicated channels.
