Motorvision TV to launch international channel

Motorvision TV, the German pay-TV channel for car and motor sports fans, will expand into international markets: On 10 November 2011, the channel will launch on pay-TV platform Orbit Showtime Network (OSN) in the Middle East and Africa.

The 24 hour service, which will be available exclusively at OSN, will be offered in HDTV and in English language, partially with Arabic subtitles. The schedule will contain documentaries, reports, portraits and lifestyle shows covering mobility topics. "The people in the United Arab Emirates and in Germany share a big passion: They love elegant and fast cars," Jochen Kröhne, managing director of Motorvision TV, said in Munich.
"Since 2009, we have been exciting German viewers with Motorvision TV. Thanks to OSN, we will have an attractive programme offering for our friends in the Middle East from November 2011."
Kröhne announced the expansion into the Middle East in July 2011 in Rapid TV News . As the next step, Motorvision TV eyes launches in Asia and on the American continent. Carriage negotiations with platform operators are already underway.
