Kabel Deutschland on 100 Mbps upgrade course

Germany's largest cable operator Kabel Deutschland has rolled out its high-speed internet access to further cities.
More than 300,000 households in Bad Kreuznach, Bamberg, Bremerhaven, Erlangen and Lüneburg including surrounding towns will now be able to surf the net at a date rate of up to 100 Mbps.
In total, the cable company now provides its high-speed service to more than 7.5 million households in 13 federal states. During the course of next year, Kabel Deutschland wants to upgrade its whole coverage area for the 100 Mbps service which is based on data transmission technology DOCSIS 3.0.
New customers can sign up for a 100 Mbps internet and telephony package from Kabel Deutschland for €19.90 per month in the first year with the price rising to the regular fee of €39.90 per month from the second year.
