The new Yahoo Screen portal will aggregate all video content across the Yahoo! estates which are making a mark on the overall online video market. Coming on days after announcing a content deal with ABC, which currently, according to the comScore US online video rankings.
As well has offering sections dedicated to genres such as sports, entertainment and finance, the portal will also be a home for content from the Hulu over the top (OTT) video service.
The news comes only days after Yahoo! announced that it was joining forces with ABC News on a new multiscreen, digital news programming initiative designed to reach a combined audience of more than 100 million people in the US each month on PCs, mobile devices and tablets. The first iteration of the alliance includes the launch of GoodMorningAmerica.com as a channel on Yahoo! and three new, online-first video series with ABC News' anchors and correspondents.
