German media trade shows join forces
Jörn Krieger ©RapidTVNews | 11-10-2011 German media authority SLM and cable operator association FRK will jointly host their media fair and congress events for the first time this year.
On 17 and 18 October 2011, the SLM-Fernsehmesse ("Media Fair") and FRK-Kabelkongress ("Cable Congress") will take place in the Congress Center in Leipzig.
Both events address different core focus points, but cross joint issues such as the future of local and regional television, the on-going digitalisation of the media industry and the switch-off of analogue satellite television in Germany on 30 April 2012.
The media executives being part of the panel discussions include Karola Wille (MDR), Joachim Grendel (PrimaCom), Klaus Hofmann (Projektbüro klardigital), André Prahl (RTL/Cologne Broadcasting Center), Heinz-Peter Labonte (FRK), Martina Rutenbeck (Eutelsat), Gerhard Schaas (Loewe/Deutsche TV-Plattform) and Heiko Zysk (ProSiebenSat.1).
