HBO GO rocks up on Roku OTT platform
Editor ©RapidTVNews | 12-10-2011 HBO is continuing apace with its strategy to make its premium content available on as many channels as possible with the launch of its HBO GO app on the Roku streaming platform.
HBO GO provides access to shows and films including Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, True Blood, The Sopranos, Sex and the City and Deadwood plus HBO original films, mini-series, sports, documentaries and blockbuster theatricals. The service has already been available on apps supported by a number of mobile platforms. The channel will be on offer from all Roku over the top (OTT) streaming players, including the Roku 2, at the end of October 2011 and Roku will offer more than 1,400 HBO titles for streaming on TV. Roku already features more than 300 entertainment channels including Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Hulu Plus, Pandora and Angry Birds. Recently launched channels include Disney.com, AOL HD and FoxNews.com.
