Avail-TVN, Liberty Global and Bazuca reach agreement for OTT, VOD

Digital media services company Avail-TVN has inked deals with Liberty Global subsidiaries VTR and Bazuca to provide managed services for their respective video on demand (VOD) and over-the-top (OTT) services.
VTR, Chile's largest multi-channel television provider, offers video, broadband Internet, and telephony services to more than 1.1 million customers in Chile while Bazuca is the countrys largest online entertainment company providing access to OTT video content to 360,000 customers.
Under the agreement, Avail-TVN will provide encoding, asset management, metadata, content acquisition and licensing, and rights management for both customers services.
Avail-TVN has recently announced AnyView, a fully-managed multi-screen video service that uses adaptive bitrate technology (ABR) to optimise a high quality viewing experience over connected devices. With ABR and Avail-TVN's network, VTR and Bazuca are claimed to be able to deliver a consistently high level of video and audio quality to multiple screens, connected devices, while reducing streaming expenses.
