First Media, HBO Asia bring curtain up for SHOWTIME

HBO Asia is designed to offer the content that its US parent company offers to Asian markets through exclusive licensing deals with major s. In addition to the proprietary and award-winning HBO Original programs that are produced exclusively for HBO viewers, HBO Asia works with a large number of major independent production companies to secure exclusive rights to air a host of quality movies for the first time on Asian TV.
In addition to showing over 100 hours of HBO On Demand content monthly, through SHOWTIME, viewers in Indonesia will be able to access international, regional and local content using an all in one set-top-box HOME BOX HD+, which supports SD, HD, and VOD services with Dolby Stereo Surround Sound 5.1. IN order to ensure that the quality of services is not compromised, First Media will use fibre optics networks for its new VOD proposition.
