Digital content security specialist Irdeto has introduced a range of products that have been redesigned with the Latin American pay-TV sector in mind.
From its regional bases in Brazil, Argentina and Mexico, the company has begun actively promoting versions adapted to the local market of three of its products: Irdeto Customer Care & Billing (CC&B), Irdeto Broadband Solutions and ActiveCloak for Media.
The first of these software products comes with an interface that supports prepaid services, features a products catalogue, offers logistics and provisioning management and allows for new product personalisation.
Irdeto Broadband has been designed to help pay-TV operators protect and monetise their content, while ActiveCloak for Media provides both operators and content owners with a new dynamic security layer that supplements conventional digital rights management (DRM) systems.
According to Giovani Henrique, Irdeto's regional manager for Latin America and the Caribbean, it is through the adoption of these kinds of security and content management arrangements that operators in the region will be able to meet the growing demand from subscribers to be able to access all content anywhere, anytime and through any device.
