MBA is growing rapidly in Latin America and now the company is set to add four new channels to its portfolio which currently comprises 14 channels reaching over 25 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
One of the acquisitions is Planet X, a new spin on adventure sports and the lifestyle they embody, available as of December 2011. As with most of the original Latin American productions on these four channels, the show focuses on the region’s culture and spectacular landscapes, as well as offering action, adventure, fashion and music.
MBA will also present Yups, a channel for teenagers featuring 100% Latin American entertainment shows and series. The channel’s schedule includes unique stories and productions with a positive message that will be available thanks to an alliance with Cris Morena Group and RGB Entertainment.
Toros TV is also a part of MBA’s portfolio. The channel is dedicated exclusively to bulls, with access to content that’s not currently available in Latin America, such as the entire bull season, the largest American and Spanish fairs, bull-fighting’s top players and the most prestigious cattle breeding.
The last of the new channels is, a travel channel showing the top destinations, from Alaska to Patagonia, along with all the information needed to plan a vacation. Each destination offers something for everyone at every budget, with different attractions, hotels, cultures, music and interesting people.
Since late 2010, MBA has also been sharing content for mobile platforms through strategic alliances with content integrators and providers in Latin America. The company hopes to continue to develop new business lines and content offerings, including HD and VOD, to offer added-value products to its providers and clients.
