Pascale Paoli-Lebailly ©RapidTVNews | 24-11-2011 The sales of consumer electronics products in France have once again fallen down in the third quarter of the year according to a new report by GfK Retail and Technology.
The analyst showed that the market has generated a €6.8 billion turnover during Q3, down 5% year on year. Apart from the steady and dynamic sector that is telecoms, boosted by smartphones sales, consumer electronics goods are in the red owing to the crisis in the Euro zone and households’ growing lack of trust. The decrease in revenues reaches 9% at quarter, and adds to bad Q1 and Q2 results.
Several segments are particularly under pressure, GfK reports, such as DTT adaptors and home cinema devices.
