The Czech public broadcaster Ceske Televize (CT) now expects to have its first app for HbbTV ready in spring 2012.
Quoted in HN, Pavlina Kvapilova, the director of its New Media Division, said that it would be for Teletext HD and distributed by satellite.
CT plans to develop more apps for hybrid TV next year, especially for the coverage of such sporting events as the hockey world championship.
Broadband TV News has previously reported that CT also plans to produce further apps for its proprietary new channel CT24 and iVysani, a CT version of iPlayer, in 2012.
The broadcaster has already enjoyed huge success with mobile apps.
