Sky Germany secures movie package

German pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland has purchased an extensive movie package from Senator Film Entertainment and Wild Bunch Germany.

The agreement with the German rights dealers and production companies, of which financial details have not been disclosed, comprises the exclusive pay-TV rights for cinema releases from 2011 and 2012.
The titles contributed by Wild Bunch include blockbuster "The King's Speech" which won four Oscars and two Golden Globes, Milla Jovovich's thriller "Faces in the Crowd", and "London Boulevard" with Colin Farrell and Keira Knightley.
Senator Entertainment titles include "The Private Lives of Pippa Lee" with Keanu Reeves, Robin Wright Penn and Blake Lively, and "The Company Men" with Ben Affleck, Kevin Costner, Tommy Lee Jones and Chris Cooper.
