OSN, the regional pay-television platform in the Middle East and Africa, has appointed Hill & Knowlton as its retained public relations agency for the Middle East following a competitive regional pitch.
With the recent launch of the Yahala! HD Arabic channel - taking the total number of channels on the platform to 93 including 19 high definition channels - supported heavily by a brand refresh under the tagline 'Just imagine', OSN has evolved the pay-TV experience to let viewers take control of their entertainment options.

"We've pioneered a number of broadcast firsts in the MENA region including personal video recording, Home Cinema, HD and 3D programming, and we're soon to launch a mobile platform to give our viewers the ultimate anytime, anywhere entertainment experience," said Hamad Malik, Chief Marketing Officer, OSN.

The integrated PR brief is focused on developing closer relationships through digital engagement with consumers and viewers across the MENA region. The regional programme will have a special focus on building conversations in the UAE, KSA, Egypt and Kuwait.

Commenting on the appointment of Hill & Knowlton, Hamad Malik said, "As OSN embarks on a new era of premium Arabic entertainment and continues to innovate to give our viewers even greater entertainment choices across four screens - television, smartphone, tablet and laptop - we required a PR agency that has the knowledge, insight, understanding and capability to help us build closer relationships with our customers."
