maxdome secures Sony Pictures' films

German video-on-demand portal maxdome has added current blockbusters, movies and series from Hollywood studio Sony Pictures to its line-up.
Parent company ProSiebenSat.1 has acquired an extensive rights package from Sony Pictures Television Sales Deutschland for an undisclosed sum.
Through the deal, maxdome will expand its portfolio to a total of 45,000 titles. The Sony package includes current cinema releases such as "Bad Teacher", "The Smurfs" and "The Zookeeper" as well als library titles, for example "Did You Hear About the Morgans?" or "Zombieland", which are accessible from now on.
Additionally, maxdome offers Sony series such as "Hawthorne", "Drop Dead Diva" and "Breaking Bad" as well as classics such as cartoon series "The Smurfs".
