*The Russian commercial broadcaster CTC Media has announced major changes to its management.
They see the departure of CEO Anton Kudryashov by mutual agreement on December 15, with Boris Podolsky, the company’s CFO, assuming the post on an interim basis until a permanent appointment is made.
At the same time, Angelo Codignioni has been elected co-chairman of the board of directors and Dmitry Lebedev has been appointed as a new member of the board.
The latter takes over from Peter Aven, who has stepped down from the board. CTC Media lists MTG as its largest shareholder and operates three FTA channels – CTC, Domashny and DTV (operating under the brand name Peretz) – in Russia.
It also has TV interests in Kazakhstan (Channel 31) and Moldova, as well as an international pay-TV channel.
