There is no doubt for any broadcaster that if it wants to survive in the digital world it will have to follow the multiplatform content distribution model.
Now RTVE's content will become available online today through TiVo, Ono's smart TV service -Ono is Spain's main cable operator. This agreement follows another one between broadcast TV and Sony to have its movies, series, news reports and programs available through the entertainment platform Sony Entertainment Network (SEN) since 20 November 2011.

According to Ono, TiVo will allow users to pause and rewind's content (from all its networks, including the main channel La1, the second and cultural channel La2, sports channel Teledeporte and 24 hour news channel 24 Horas) at any time, and will also have a podcast section of programs from all RTVE's stations and a live broadcast of all its radio stations. In addition, TiVo will also include an app specifically designed to view content by Clan, TVE's children network.

The deal between Spanish broadcast TV and Sony allows SEN (a free service included in Sony devices with internet access) users to access RTVE's catalogue at all times, through Bravia connected TVs, Blu-ray devices and Sony Home Theatres with Blue-ray.
