A&E Network to launch in Australia on Foxtel
Louise Duffy ©RapidTVNews | 05-01-2012 A&E Network, a flagship channel of global media content company A+E Networks, will launch in Australia on Foxtel on 16 February.
The factual entertainment channel will carry original, unscripted entertainment series. Foxtel also operates History, Crime & Investigation Network and Bio, also from A+E Networks.

The schedule for A&E in Australia is comprised of original and exclusive programming from A+E Networks. It will feature Australian premiere seasons of record breaking series franchises including Storage Wars, Storage Wars Texas, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Billy the Exterminator, Pawn Stars, and American Pickers.
A&E Australia will also offer homegrown content, and has commissioned Cordell Jigsaw, creator of Bondi Rescue, to produce the one-hour special MegaTruckers. This will be part of the channel’s launch schedule and will then be developed as a series to premiere later in 2012.
