Trace Sports lands in South America

Sport celebrities channel Trace Sports has inked two new distribution agreements in Colombia and Mexico.
Trace Group’s channel is now part of the offer of pay-TV operator UNE-EPM Telecomunicaciones in Latin America. Entirely produced in high definition, Trace Sports is broadcast in English and is entirely subtitled in Spanish.
Trace already has a strong presence in Colombia boasting over 950,000 subs with its sports channel that is available in HD in the IPTV service offer. It will also integrate the operator’s cable offer in 2012.
In Mexico, Trace Sports is part of the Productora y Comercializadora de Television (PCTV) bouquet which distributes TV to 5.2 million homes via a network of 700 hundred affiliated pay-TV operators. The launch of Trace Sports in the various HD offers in Mexico is scheduled for the first semester of 2012.
Since its launch last June, Trace Sports has been picked up by several dozen of pay-TV operators over 60 countries and it will be introduced in over 80 new territories in 2012.
