TSmedia sells digital content solutions to Australia's largest telco
Louise Duffy ©RapidTVNews | 08-01-2012 Slovenian digital content producer TSmedia has developed a weather forecast application and a digital radio station centre application for Australia's largest telco. The applications are based on the Netgem platform.
TSmedia's entry in the Australian market follows the successful implementation of its Radio Stations Centre application for digital TV users in September 2011 in Luxembourg.
The largest Australian network operator bought the implementation of two applications for digital TV: a 10-day weather forecast for any location from more than two million places in the world, which can be checked by digital TV users at any time on their TV screen. It allows users to set the weather forecast of their favourite locations, as well as more detailed data (barometric pressure, humidity, wind, visibility, UV index). The content of the weather forecast service is provided by Accuweather.
Radio Stations Centre aggregates more than 50,000 radio stations from around the world, and transforms the TV into a single centre of all audio and video content. It enables a user to select radio stations depending on the content (type of music, sports, talk radio stations), location, and language. The content is provided by TuneIn.
