Technicolor has unveiled new consumer brand, M-GO, which combines all media in the home, including movies, music, apps and live TV, and offers cloud-based access to connected devices like TVs, smartphones and tablets via a free app that features a sophisticated discovery engine.
Technicolor has also announced strategic relationships around M-GO with Intel, Samsung and Vizio.
"We could not be more thrilled to be partnering with the leading technology brands to deliver the best and most immersive experience regardless of where, when and how media is consumed," said John Batter, CEO of M-GO.
M-GO will be available on Intel Ultrabooks devices through Intel AppUp center, bringing high-definition, premium digital content for television, movies, music and apps. It will also be compatible with other Intel-based devices enabled by Intel Insider.
Samsung will pre-load M-GO on its 2012 lineup of smart TVs and Blu-Ray disc players, and will be accessible on Galaxy tablets. M-GO will offer bonus content, such as deleted scenes and games, on Galaxy devices while a movie is playing on the TV.
M-GO also will come pre-loaded on VIZIO's televisions, tablets, Blu-Ray players and streaming players that are part of the VIZIO Internet Apps Plus ecosystem.
“Technicolor is at the intersection of content creation and distribution, and I strongly believe M-GO is the future of digital content discovery and delivery,” said Frederic Rose, CEO of Technicolor.
