RCN names new CEO, teams up with Teleset

It’s all go at Colombian national broadcaster RCN who has appointed a new CEO, and has renewed with Teleset a three-year strategic production agreement.
Rodrigo Pardo García-Peña is the new man at the helm, a renowned journalist with a vast experience working with information media and news analysis. The executive previously worked as a Colombian ambassador in Venezuela and France; a minister of foreign relations; the director of Cambio magazine; editor and sub-manager of newspaper 'El Tiempo'; and director of 'El Espectador' newspaper.
Buoyed by a new leader, the extension deal with Teleset is said to recognise the synergies in the companies' joint management. The two companies have been working together for over five years with productions sold across countries outside of the domestic market.
Programmes include 'The Useless', 'Forbidden Games', 'Rosario Tijeras', 'Love in custody' and 'Three miracles; game shows, among which are 'The Power of 10', 'The Player', 'Dancing for a Dream', 'The Island of the famous', 'Hard against the world'; all seven seasons of the 'X Factor' and other formats that are in pre-production.
