Comcast and Verizon Wireless are planning joint marketing efforts that will combine Comcast's triple play services and wireless plans from Big Red.
The bundles of wireless, TV, home dialtone and residential broadband will kick off first in Seattle and Portland, Ore. as a trial.
Customers who sign up for at least a two-year contract will be eligible to receive a prepaid Visa card of $100 to $300, depending on the bundle; the card is meant to be applied to the purchase of a smartphone or tablet.
"Through our agreement with Verizon Wireless, we're delivering even more value for consumers by providing an entertainment and communications solution that fits their lifestyle," Steve White, president of Comcast's West Division, said in a statement.
"By adding wireless services to our Xfinity offerings, we're able to provide consumers with a great in-home experience, combined with the superior reliability of Verizon Wireless' network."
