Sky secures Warner Bros. movies

German pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland has extended its output deal with Hollywood studio Warner Brothers until the end of 2015.
The long-term contract contains the exclusive pay-TV rights for all Warner movies on all distribution platforms including cable, satellite, IPTV, internet and mobile TV. Sky Deutschland will also be able to show all new releases on its video-on-demand (VOD) services Sky Anytime and Sky Go.
The agreement covers blockbusters such as "J. Edgar", "Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close" and "The Dark Knight Rises" as well as the new Tim Burton/Johnny Depp movie "Dark Shadows" which Sky will also show in 3D. Also part of the contract are German productions such as "Kokowääh" and "Männerherzen und die ganz ganz große Liebe".
