Sky HD launches at Cablecom

German pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland has expanded the distribution of its HD channels on Austrian cable networks: Cablecom, the largest cable operator in the Vorarlberg region, had added 16 Sky HD channels to its line-up.
The customers of the subsidiary of Swiss cable company UPC Cablecom can now receive the following channels: Sky Sport News HD, Sky Sport HD 1, Sky Sport HD 2, Sky Sport HD Extra, Sky Cinema HD, Sky Action HD, Sky Hits HD, Sky 3D, Nat Geo Wild HD, ESPN America HD, Disney Cinemagic HD, NatGeo HD, History HD, Disney Channel HD, Discovery HD and Eurosport HD.
"This is a further step in our HD offensive with the target to grant as many consumers as possible access to Sky's breathtaking HD experience," Kai Mitterlechner, managing director of Sky Österreich, said in Vienna.
UPC Cablecom is owned by US media company Liberty Global which is also present in neighbouring Germany.
