Argentina's film pay-TV channel Moviecity has updated its networks and given them new brands in order for them to "be a community".
The renaming is the first in a series of planned changes for Moviecity over the next few months.
As part of this attempt to make it simpler for their subscribers to identify the company's content, the group's networks will now be: Moviecity Premieres (formerly known as Moviecity) for premieres, blockbuster movies from Hollywood, independent films, series, original productions and documentaries; Moviecity Action (formerly named Cityvibe), which will include action, suspense and horror movies and series; Moviecity Family (ex Cityfamily), with G, PG and PG-13 rated movies and series; Moviecity Mundo (formerly known as Citymundo) for Latin content; Moviecity Classics (ex Citystars) with movies and concerts from other generations; and Moviecity Hollywood (ex Citymix), for major Hollywood movies.
In addition, Moviecity Play will have over 500 titles available online for VOD platforms and moviecityplay.com, which have the same characteristics as the company's TV networks and offer content for all audiences with no commercial breaks and no censorship, and exclusive content from 20th Century Fox, Universal Studios, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Paramount Pictures, Dreamworks Animation, Starz and Showtime.
