The US Library of Congress and French archives Institut National de l’Audiovisuel (INA) have inked an unprecedented three-year collaboration that will formalise with the exchange of up to 500 documents of digitised film and television content.

This exchange will reflect how the US and France have been portrayed in each other's media over the past 110 years. The initial titles selected are mainly news programming, documentaries, educational films, travelogues and home movies.
The digital files will be available for research in the Library’s motion Picture Reading Room and INA’s consultation center at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France in Paris.
